Gamswitch Employee Attends ACI Certified Postilion Basic Training at Interswitch
In an exciting development for Gamswitch Company Limited, one of our dedicated employees was recently nominated to attend the prestigious ACI Certified Postilion Basic Training at Interswitch in Lagos, Nigeria. This comprehensive training, which spanned seven days from March to April 2023, aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team member in the rapidly evolving electronic funds transfer (EFT) landscape.
The training program was meticulously divided into five modules, each designed to provide a deep dive into various aspects of EFT and the ACI payments platform. Here's an overview of what each module entailed:
Module 1: EFT Overview
The training kicked off with an EFT Overview, serving as a foundational course for understanding basic EFT concepts. Participants were introduced to message exchange protocols and the intricacies of ISO 8583 messages. Additionally, this module provided a thorough overview of the ACI payments platform, familiarizing attendees with essential ACI payments terminology.
Module 2: Postilion Realtime
The second module, Postilion Realtime, equipped participants with the knowledge necessary to operate Postilion Realtime effectively. This module delved into Realtime’s functionality, focusing on tasks regularly performed by operators and administrators. Key areas of learning included monitoring Realtime, scheduling and running jobs, and querying transactions. Participants also gained limited configuration skills, such as adding new support team members and card acceptors.
Module 3: Postilion PostCard
Next, the Postilion PostCard module provided an extensive overview of the Postilion PostCard system. Attendees were guided on how to access, monitor, and troubleshoot the system. This module covered critical topics such as validation services, authorization services, and frequent tasks like card or customer inquiries.
Module 4: Postilion Office
In the Postilion Office module, participants learned how to utilize Postilion Office to query transactions processed by Postilion Realtime. This module emphasized extracting transaction data, performing reconciliation with a transaction activity file provided by a third party, and scheduling and generating reports.
Module 5: ATM Driving
The final module, ATM Driving, was tailored for participants who needed to understand how to use AtmApp for ATM deployment. This module detailed the steps required to take an ATM into service, including essential cryptographic key management. While it covered crucial operational steps, it intentionally excluded more complex topics such as downloads, FITs, and states.
